Do you enjoy jazz?
Join the event’s host (jazz musician, Eddie Lewis)
for a relaxed evening of jazz.
Grab a cup of coffee and settle back to enjoy some good music.
Will there be only "Christian" music?
The music will be a mixed bag of fine jazz, performed by seasoned
professionals. "Christian" indicates the family-friendly nature
of this jazz venue.
What
makes this event unique?
Often young people (under 21 years of age) are
excluded from the city’s coolest jazz venues and only get to
experience jazz in a school context.
This event makes “adult” jazz accessible to the youth, allowing
them to see the professionals in action.
Note that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by
an adult, and are subject to house rules. Families are
welcome.
Interested in jamming with the pro’s?
Online registration for the playlist is now closed.
Amateur musicians of all ages are invited to
participate in the jam portion of the evening.
Students of jazz are particularly encouraged to join the jam section
of the evening.
For an opportunity to jam with the professional jazz musicians,
you will need to purchase your ticket and then register for the “play
list”. Online registration for the playlist is now closed.
The house band may accommodate some late requests to jam with them (if
communicated directly to the band leader) if the program will permit
it.
What is the "java" all about?
Your ticket includes access to coffee. If you
don't drink coffee or you prefer some other refreshment, alternatives
will be available for purchase (cash only).
